A traditional and delicious tea blend from the Kashmir region. This treat will warm your soul and invigorate your senses. Perfect to have after a meal, or any time of the day!

Here is a recipe to make your own Kashmiri tea at home:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of water
  • Kashmiri Tea Leaves 2 tsp
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4-5 green cardamom pods
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 black peppercorns
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 2 tbsp of sugar (or to taste)
  • A pinch of saffron (optional)

Method

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a pot.
  2. Add the green tea leaves, cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, cloves, and peppercorns to the pot.
  3. Let the tea simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until it reaches your desired strength.
  4. Add the milk and sugar to the pot and bring the tea to a boil.
  5. Remove the pot from heat and add a pinch of saffron, if desired.
  6. Strain the tea into cups and serve it hot.
