Here is a recipe to make your own Kashmiri tea at home:
Ingredients
- 2 cups of water
- Kashmiri Tea Leaves 2 tsp
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4-5 green cardamom pods
- 2 cloves
- 2 black peppercorns
- 2 cups of milk
- 2 tbsp of sugar (or to taste)
- A pinch of saffron (optional)
Method
- Bring the water to a boil in a pot.
- Add the green tea leaves, cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, cloves, and peppercorns to the pot.
- Let the tea simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until it reaches your desired strength.
- Add the milk and sugar to the pot and bring the tea to a boil.
- Remove the pot from heat and add a pinch of saffron, if desired.
- Strain the tea into cups and serve it hot.
