Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (white, brown, or any type you prefer)
  • 1 tbsp butter (softened)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • ¼ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
  • Oregano or chili flakes (optional, for extra flavor)
  • ½ tsp parsley (optional, for garnish)

Method

  1. Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic. Spread this mixture evenly on one side of both bread slices.
  2. Toast the Bread: Heat a pan on low flame. Place the buttered side of the bread facing down on the pan. Toast for 1-2 minutes until the bottom turns slightly crispy.
  3. Add Cheese: Flip the bread so the crispy side is now on top. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly on one slice. Add oregano, chili flakes, or any seasoning of your choice.
  4. Melt the Cheese: Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook on low heat for about 2 minutes, until the cheese melts. If making a sandwich-style garlic bread, place the second bread slice on top and press lightly. Remove from the pan and garnish with extra chili flakes or parsley if desired.

Slice into strips or triangles and serve hot with ketchup, garlic mayo, or a dipping sauce of your choice!
